As kitchens continue their room-busting ascent to become the open-plan living spaces de nos jours, architects respond by creating new, typology shifting environments that are as much about social interaction and bonding as they are about food preparation and consumption.

In this special issue of the Architonic Report, we take a look at the different ways in which architects are reacting to their clients' evolving lifestyles when it comes to kitchen design, and take a look back at the birth of the modern kitchen as we know it.

 The Dekton Industrial Collection
This innovative Industrial series by Dekton is inspired by the beauty in the imperfections of metals and stone in their different stages of ageing. This organic process is the result of the oxidation and maturation of the stone, providing an original design in each of the pieces in this series. The industrial trend which combines nature with functionality is the basis of all textures and design in the latest Dekton collection. The Industrial Collection is unique and will help create a bold and personalized space, both in interior and exterior projects.
