With Manhattan's architectural backdrop – the ultimate poster child for 20th-century creative and engineering chutzpah – and Brooklyn now a well-established 21st-century design lab attracting talent from all over the world, New York is most definitely a city where design dreams are made. 

NYCxDESIGN transforms the entire five boroughs into a platform for design, with its programme of exhibitions, installations, product launches and open studios. Chief among them are the big-top, high-end furniture fair ICFF at the Jacob K Javits Convention Center and WantedDesign, which, with its two venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn, serves to foster international creativity. Both events promise to deliver visitors a big slice of design culture. 

Expect established American brands doing what they do best, international design collectives setting up their shiny stalls, as well as young guns showing out and off across the city. And none of them are planning to sleep. When in New York...

30th ANNUAL ICFF NYC SHOW, MAY 20–23, 2018

The 30th annual ICFF NYC, North America’s platform for global design, will map the newest frontier of what’s best and what’s next at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, May 20-23, 2018. For the four-day duration of the Fair, the Javits Center will be abuzz with more than 36,000 interior designers, architects, retailers, representatives, distributors, facility managers, developers, manufacturers, store designers, and visual merchandisers. On Wednesday, May 23th, the ICFF opens its doors to the general public as well.
 
ICFF annually lures those in determined pursuit of design’s timely truths and latest trends to an encyclopedic exhibition of up-to-the-moment offerings, as well as a series of fascinating, fun, edifying programs and a packed schedule of exhibits and features.

At WantedDesign Manhattan: New programs such as Look Book, a program dedicated to North Americans independent design studios, the unveiling of the Rado Star Prize US for the third year in a row, a series of talks presented with Design Milk + Modenus, the awaited 4th American Design Honors awarding Brooklyn based designer Oliver Haslegrave and his new collection called Homework.

WantedDesign Brooklyn - At Industry City WantedDesign will have a graphic mural commissioned by [French-born], London-based artist Camille Walala for one of its facades.This is an initiative of WantedDesign in conjunction with OUI Design, a program created three years ago with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy to foster French–American collaborations in the field of design.
