New year, new imm?
The arrival of a new year is always a moment of introspection – a time to reflect on the past, embrace change and nurture aspirations for the future. Physical fairs returned in full force in 2023, and with that we learned the irreplaceable value of face-to-face interaction. This time imm cologne will kick off an eventful fair calendar, setting the stage for what’s to come and making a powerful statement about community unity by allowing the industry to reunite in person once again.
 
Reclaiming its winter slot following a spring edition held last June, imm is signalling a rejuvenation; a fresh start aligned with the dawn of a new year. All the focus from 14-18 January will be on innovative products, new atmospheres and themes that reflect both brands’ and visitors’ evolving demands. It's time to reconnect
Given our inherently social nature, humans thrive through interpersonal interactions and the dynamic exchange of ideas. Collaboration is now a priority – hence the rise of co-working, co-living, communal gardens, car-sharing and so on.
 
This year, imm cologne will be guided by the theme ‘Connecting Communities’. The aim is to bring together diverse communities – architects, retailers, interior designers and more – to share spaces, discuss trends, create new connections and strengthen existing ones. Find out more

Circles all around
imm is back with an innovative concept that made its debut last spring: ‘The Circles’. Spread across the entire fair, the format presents diverse content and event platforms that combine business, inspiration and networking.

Circular installations will connect elements and places where participants can meet and deepen their understanding of the industry, including areas such as the Circle Club, Café and Bar, as well as the Community Circles, Installation Circles and Brand Circles. Read more

Design dialogues
The halls of the Koelnmesse exhibition centre will be bustling with events. Among them, Architonic’s Live Talks will focus specifically on collaboration and exchange. Pure Talents Contest: 20 years of celebrating creativity
In its 20th edition, the Pure Talents Contest will award emerging designers for their creative and innovative ideas, this time centred around the challenges of the future. Twelve nominees have already been selected and will be showcased during the fair. The goal is to come together, discover what's new and honour rising talents. Find out more
