We often only become aware of the relation between architecture and the effect it can have on the health of its users when buildings make us feel unwell. The stakes are particularly high, of course, when it comes to the design of healthcare centres and clinics. Not only are these spaces designed to process patients, as it were, they can – and should – serve to aid their well-being, functioning as part of their treatment. Architecture, heal thyself.
