Milan Design Week is back. Did you miss it? We certainly did. Not just as the leading barometer for measuring the design climate (and we hope to see our literal climate at the top table there), but also as the global design industry's revolving door par excellence. 

From 4 to 10 September, studios, showrooms and even whole districts throughout the city will be hosting a mix of must-see exhibitions and design events, including Durini Design, The Interni Design Experience, Isola Design District, Masterly – The Dutch in Milano, and MoscaPartners.

MILAN – FUORISALONE
Fuorisalone is back in Milan!
The new edition will take place under the patronage of the City of Milan during Milan Design Week and on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile. It will explore the theme of Forme dell’abitare (Forms of Living), trying to take a view on the questions that inspire the future of the furniture and design sectors.

Two in one
After Salone del Mobile’s forced break last year, Foscarini is making up for lost time in 2021. This September in Milan, the Italian lighting brand will be providing illumination in more ways – and locations – than one.

At supersalone, the company will be presenting its multimedia project VITE (LIVES) in a live setting for the first time. The project is an adventure in light, set inside sixteen real homes over three continents, narrating the meaning of light in different places. Download the digital book, here.

Masterly – The Dutch in Milano
Masterly – The Dutch in Milano, the event that has been bringing a rich and varied selection of Dutch design, fine craftsmanship and art to Italy since 2016, is delighted to return to its Milan home in Palazzo Francesco Turati for the next Fuorisalone edition.
 

The exhibition, curated by Nicole Uniquole, can be thought of as a mini trade fair because of its size and variety, featuring over 80 participants between designers, architects, artists, craftspeople, schools and companies offering furniture, furnishings and building products, but also fashion and personal accessories.

Design Variations 2021 by MoscaPartners: Milan Design Week at Palazzo Litta
For the next Milan Design Week, MoscaPartners will present Design Variations 2021, an international hub that promotes design culture. On display, the products of all those companies, designers, institutions, startups and design schools that will present the result of their research to professionals and design lovers, in an exceptional showcase.

The Main Courtyard of Palazzo Litta will host A beach in the Baroque, the installation, designed by the Portuguese studio Aires Mateus, that celebrates the reunification of people after the isolation of the pandemic. Read more
