Architonic blew into the Windy City last week for NeoCon – North America's foremost design trade fair for the contract sector. The big-top Chicago exhibition has become the place where the industry meets and business is done, both at the architectural-landmark venue that is the striking, art-deco Merchandise Mart and, after-hours, in the city's burgeoning restaurant, hotel and club scene. 

 

The legions of renowned architects from all over the country who are flown in especially for NeoCon testify to just how prolific, and unmissable, the fair has become for making those all-important commercial and creative connections. And the conference that runs in parallel to it is also a professional crowd-puller. And all of this against Chicago's imposing, modernist architectural backdrop...
