System 900 | new surfaces

HEWI presented new concepts, materials and surfaces at ISH 2019. In focus: System 900 with a completely new look. The new surfaces with powder coating in white, grey shades or deep black set sensual accents that impress with their characteristic appearance and very special feel.

System 900 is the answer to the complex requirements of barrier-free bathrooms – in the comfort ward of a private clinic, in an exclusive senior citizens' residence or in a design-oriented hotel.

Thin is in: Villeroy & Boch

Villeroy & Boch have introduced TitanCeram to the mainstream sanitary market, allowing products with filigree walls of just 8mm in width and the tightest of radii. This year's ISH saw the premium bathroom brand present two new collections that deploy the innovative material to its fullest architectural potential – COLLARO and MOMENTO 2.0. 

Collaro delivers a clearly defined, distinctive design language, including a recessed design edge that serves to emphasise the svelte forms of the TitanCeram washbasins. Memento 2.0, meanwhile, is articulated with sharper edges. Eight different basins, plus a bidet and toilet with DirectFlush technology, not to mention seven colour options, make for a plethora of creative permutations and spatial configurations.

Clean machine: TOTO

Sometimes only a new expression will do. Take "cleanovation". If you can think of a better term to describe what the Japanese global leader in shower-toilet technology – TOTO – delivers, then go for it. For now, we'll stick with this. 

ISH 2019 saw the brand present its latest WASHLET technologies under the banner of cleanovation, toilet models that take cleanliness and hygiene to a whole new level. All of the products, be they starter or luxury options, feature such innovations as a carefully positioned wand jet, electrolysed water for its antibacterial properties, and premisting of the toilet bowl, to reduce the sticking of waste. These are products that stay as clean as you do.
