About
What is INSIDE?
One of the most important fixtures in the global design calendar, interior designers and architects will come together from around the world in Singapore to learn, connect and share ideas at this unmissable annual fixture in the interior design calendar. Held in Singapore on 4 – 6 November alongside World Architecture Festival, INSIDE is your opportunity to be inspired by the latest and greatest in global interiors.
Over three inspiration-filled days INSIDE shines a spotlight on the people, projects and developments that are changing the face of global interiors. At the festival there is an array of creativity and design excellence that will totally refresh your design outlook including:
The INSIDE Awards
At Inside’s heart is a global awards programme, which will be judged by more than 20 distinguished designers and editors from around the world. Finalists that are shortlisted across nine categories will present their project in person to international judging panels. The category winners will then go head-to-head before our super jury, which includes luminaries such as Matteo Thun and Sadie Morgn. In a hard fought-over battle, one practice will win the ultimate accolade of World Interior of the Year, which will be presented at a glamorous Gala Dinner awards ceremony on the evening of Friday 6 November.
The Talks
Be inspired by some of the most influential and innovative architects voices shaping the global architectural profession today. The Festival's industry-shaping talks and thought-defining speakers, will deliberate today's big questions and define the way you work tomorrow. This year the INSIDE seminar and keynote programme is inspired by Singapore's 50th anniversary as an independent country which it is celebrating in 2015. We are taking this opportunity to think globally about how the way we think about, inhabit and design interiors has changed during that period, how predictions have been fulfilled or denied, and how we think conditions may change or stay the same over the 50 years to come.
Expert talks and installations by the greatest names in design will make Inside unmissable; a buzzing hub of creative thought and mutual inspiration. With the energizing city of Singapore as a backdrop, new and established designers, clients, and top industry figures will rub shoulders over two exciting days celebrating the best in design and interiors from around the globe. The Gallery
Experience the breadth of international design excellence in the INSIDE Festival Gallery. All finalist submissions are displayed in the gallery so you can review today’s most accomplished projects from around the globe at your leisure. See which crits you want to watch or find out more details of projects that sparked your interest.
The Exhibition
The Festival Hall is the hub location of INSIDE where you can network and engage face-to-face with leading suppliers and manufacturers from around the world. Exclusive installations and product showcases enable you to experience the latest in product design. Festival Hall Stage talks are where you can receive updates on working globally, cutting-edge technology and innovative materials.
The Interviews
Increase your exposure on a global scale. Our online partner Dezeen, which has two million visitors a month, will be interviewing all category award winner live at the festival as well providing rolling coverage of all the insider goings-on!
The Fringe
You’re going to be very busy during your days at INSIDE – learning from globally renowned speakers, being inspired by live crits and and finding out more in the finalist gallery – but make sure you save some time for the extensive and stimulating INSIDE Fringe. Plus you will have plenty of opportunities to make some new contacts and extend your global network. Fringe highlights include INSIDE’s PechaKucha Night - Hosted by none other than the founder of PechaKucha, Mark Dytham, at a surprise design venue, it is a kick-off not to be missed!
The Parties
INSIDE has a host of parties, receptions and dinners in some of Singapore's hottest design destinations so you can celebrate and socialise in style! Network with the INSIDE community - architects, clients, judges, sponsors and the world's design media.

The Gala Dinner
Celebrate your achievements, new contacts and exciting oppotunities at INSIDE’s grand finale. INSIDE culminates in a glittering Gala Awards Dinner where the winners of World Interior,of the Year are announced. THE SETTING
Creativity and inspiration are at INSIDE’s foundation and with unique design features and installations INSIDE will certainly give you something to get excited about.
