The «Hooded Plaid» 

It all began when I was still a child. From an early age I had a special fondness for woollen blankets of all kinds. We always took some along to our family picnics on Sundays, and I had a wonderful time using them to make tents and little houses. Then, when I grew sleepy, I could crawl into a protective woollen nest for a nap.

Then I grew up, and travelled a lot during my student days. I often caught a cold during my long train journeys to Vienna, and plane trips were just as bad. Over and over again I ended up in situations where I found myself longing for a multifunctional plaid. Something lightweight and warm. At my Yoga classes, messing about in boats, curled up on the sofa with a book, and on business trips, something was always missing. And then one day I was attending a Qi Gong workshop and had a brainwave, and the Hooded Plaid was born. Today the plaid is available in various styles, colours, materials, and sizes. It has become my constant companion. I never leave home without it. And who knows – perhaps, very soon, neither will you.

Agnès Bernet

*Born in Zurich (CH)

2002: Master's degree at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (Professor Raf Simons).

2004: Launch of the AGNÈS BERNET label in Paris. Since then, Agnès Bernet has regularly launched products and accessories that straddle fashion and interior design and that place a premium on functionality and materials.

Today, Agnès Bernet lives and works in Berne and Paris.
