The flair of Amsterdam's canal houses is probably something unique in the world. Through the historic part of the city runs one of its oldest streets, the Herengracht, with a history that goes all the way back to the 17th century. Three monumental canal houses situated next to one another here have recently been lavishly restored and refurnished for the Swiss luxury goods group Richemont. Numerous pieces of Zeitraum furniture were used in the process – but first things first.

The multi-award-winning interior designers M+R Interiors Architects from Eindhoven were in charge of the interior design. The brief included meeting the highest aesthetic standards, as Richemont is known for its craftsmanship and quality in the fields of jewellery, watches, fashion and accessories. Today, of course, interior design also represents an unquestionable part of a brand's image and should branding and should correspond accordingly.

The light colour palette and subtle material concept are based on an analysis of the historic canal houses. The interiors are in natural warm beige tones, and the eye-catching materials include sustainable wood, brass and marble. In cold grey stain, Zeitraum's Morph series and the Turntable table blend neatly into the modern office ambience.

The Kuyu table, which is available in various sizes (from lounge to dining table), was also chosen by the Eindhoven Interior Studio as furnishing for the Richemont project. Its top is available in several variations: for example, classically round, as a rounded triangle, as a rectangle or as a free form. As for wood variants, users can choose between American cherry, walnut, ash and oak.

Last but not least, a classic from the Zeitraum programme was also chosen for the Amsterdam project, namely the Cena table, which the two managing directors Birgit Gämmerler and Peter Gaebelein designed together over 20 years ago. In its timeless simplicity, it fits very convincingly with the overall concept of the interior design, its bevelled tabletop lending both dynamism and character to the design.
