Find out why the recently renovated Interni flagship store in Milan is symbolic of the Italian company's larger goal of offering full-service partnerships to designers and architects worldwide.

To describe Interni as a mere retailer or a showroom would be to do it a major disservice. 'Our mission is to offer our clients a total design experience,' explains Francesca Cazzaniga, architect at Interni and the third generation in a family business that represents over 200 international brands and has become a go-to consultancy and planning partner for a host of architects and interior architects worldwide.

Founded in 1933, Interni knows a thing or two about what creatives need. The fact that a majority stake in the company was acquired in 2021 by Haworth's Lifestyle Design group should tell you something about its valuable expertise. It's an honour, says Cazzaniga, to have such stablemates as Cassina, Cappellini and Poltrona Frau, who share the same values: 'A dedication to work, a passion for Made Italy and a continuous desire to keep growing and building something even more special.'

Following a recent renovation, visitors to Interni's four-story flagship on Milan's Via Turati are now met with an altogether more immersive experience. The new, enlarged space – dubbed the Interni Design Factory – acts as a hub for human-centric collaboration in a digital era, where, in addition to a plethora of furniture samples, an exhaustive materials library encompassing fabrics, metals, woods and marbles is on hand to explore.
