Nimbus lends wings to light with the battery-powered wall luminaire Winglet CL. It can be positioned in any conceivable location without the need for power outlets.

Nimbus CEO Dietrich F. Brennenstuhl is convinced that "the Winglet marks the beginning of a new era in room lighting". To the entrepreneur, cableless, battery-powered lighting means the "light of the future" – and for good reason: the integrated battery allows installation without having to rely on electrical connection points. Non-existent or inconveniently positioned cable outlets no longer present a problem with this innovative lighting concept. Planning is more straightforward and allows you more freedom than ever before.

New era in room lighting

The Winglet is fastened to the wall in a simple operation using the self-adhesive or screw-on magnetic bracket. A simple manual operation is all it takes to remove it from the wall, place it in the Basket Charger and replace it following charging: simple and straightforward. Up to five luminaires can be charged at one time in the multiple charging station developed by Nimbus along with further devices plugged into the three integrated USB ports.

Up to 100 hours without recharging – that is how long the Winglet CL reliably emits its characteristic soft light. In other words: at medium luminous intensity and eight hours of daily use, it would be ten days before it would have to go back into its basket.

The innovative bend

The term Winglet describes the characteristic, angled tip of modern aircraft wings, whose job is to improve airflow efficiency. It is more than a mere design feature: The angled lighting surface has the job of generating direct and indirect light to create a striking atmospheric effect in living rooms. Furthermore, a variety of modes allow individual setting in line with the user's needs.

Winglet CL has been in the shops since November 2017, when it also won the accolade "Best of Best" at the Iconic Awards: Interior Innovation 2018.
