SilentLab celebrates a second Red Dot for next-generation acoustic pod

SPOT, the most compact model from the new GEN4 range, was awarded the Red Dot Design Award 2025 in the Product Design category. The next generation of acoustic pods masterfully combines technological excellence with outstanding design, thanks to SilentLab’s close collaboration with architects Vojtěch Kaas and Jan Kalivoda from PROGRES architekti. Together, they translated groundbreaking technical innovations into a form that is pure, functional, and aesthetically refined.

"Design should create atmosphere, not just seek attention," explains Jan Kalivoda. "With acoustic products, this is especially challenging because you must balance technical requirements with aesthetic lightness." "SilentLab entrusted us with the freedom to dive deep and rethink the creation of workspaces. We didn’t just focus on appearance but approached the entire concept of the pod — how it feels inside, what users perceive subconsciously. This openness to collaboration allowed us to develop a design that is simple yet meticulously thought through in every detail," adds Vojtěch Kaas.

With this award, SilentLab builds on its success from 2019, when the previous generation of its acoustic pod received the same prestigious recognition. Successfully defending a Red Dot with the same product — albeit technologically and aesthetically elevated — is extremely rare.

"We don’t see this award as a final chapter but rather as another step forward," says Jaroslav Vendl, founder of SilentLab. "Our new GEN4 range is the result of years of development during which we listened carefully to our customers, tested new technologies, and pushed beyond conventional ideas about office space.
