What distinguishes Brunner is its passion for furniture which is packed with possibilities. Preferably when at first these possibilities seem impossible. The aim of this leading German manufacturer of contract furniture is not to cross borders, but to skilfully and effectively move them around. The ray family, which was developed by industrial designers jehs+laub together with Brunner, also adopts this philosophy.

‘Cantilever chairs are basically tubular steel furniture, but we wanted to add an aluminium aesthetic. A real treat when you touch it,’ recalls Jürgen Laub. Accordingly, some further creative thinking took place with the Product Development team and a new combination of materials was created, one which breaks new ground both aesthetically and functionally.
Even the deliberately uncomplicated seat shell doesn't show at first glance what a striking innovation it contains. Its so-called 'radial-kinetic activation' is a sophisticated mechanism which enables you to lean back in comfort. In combination with the flexible polygonal slats in the seat and backrest area, this guarantees top ergonomic characteristics and freedom of movement.

In addition, ray has a lot more features to offer and has already received several awards for its pioneering design. With three backrest heights and a range of different looks, it is now ready for a wide variety of tasks – from the rolling executive chair or stationary conference seat via the elegant four-legged restaurant chair to the wooden staple for the home. Any further wishes? The ray family is sure to have the appropriate answer.
