‘As a boutique manufacturer, we’re driven by a passion for the craft of cabinet-making – and have been for generations. Our kitchens are a creative combination of innovative spirit and dedication to quality,’ says Ernst Brunner, who founded the company from Bettwil, Aargau.
It all started in 1903 with the village joinery of his grandfather, Plazid. Eventually, in 1972, Ernst established the Brunner Küchenbau company. Today the Swiss kitchen producer is under the directorship of his daughters Corinne and Erika and his son-in-law Adrian Bernhard.
Innovation is a tradition at Brunner Küchen. ‘The foundation of what we do is our openness to changing requirements and an understanding of quality that’s based on craftsmanship,’ say sales consultant Roland Vogt and production manager Markus Stutz. They are part of an experienced and highly skilled team – like a little ‘kitchen family’.
That’s the only way to ensure a one-stop solution for the customer. ‘Every step required to build a Brunner kitchen is in our hands,’ the two of them explain. ‘Because we control the value chain ourselves, we can guarantee our high standards of quality in all areas at all times. From selecting the materials we’re going to work with, preferably sourced from local suppliers, all the way to the finishing touches – quality is our DNA.’
Brunner kitchens are made in Bettwil every step of the way – from advising customers all the way to assembly. During the very first consultation, a competent advisor meticulously records the client’s needs and gives concrete shape to their visions in the form of hand-drawn sketches. In order to help customers picture the final result during the planning phase, the specialists then use photorealistic 3D animation to visualise their dream kitchen. This enables them to experiment with colours and forms and get a sense of the impact the kitchen will make in its designated space.
Thanks to many years of experience, the Swiss kitchen maker is able to ensure timely execution and thus a high degree of planning certainty. In the workshop, state-of-the-art machinery guarantees precision and efficient processing. Even so, skilled craftsmanship plays an indispensable role in the production of every single Brunner kitchen. A team of professional fitters adds the finishing touches.
So as to ensure that premium kitchens continue to be made in Switzerland in future too, Brunner invests consistently in training the skilled workforce of tomorrow. “That way, we can ensure the craft of cabinet-making has a place in the future and forge a link between tradition and the modern world.’
