Residential property, shopping, offices, food outlets and entertainment. Welcome to the new Aker Brygge. Aker Brygge is situated in the former dockyard of Akers Mekaniske Verksted, which shut down in 1982. Today, Aker Brygge is a vital, pulsating part of Oslo’s harbour promenade, with 12 million visitors annually. LINK Landskap was commissioned to revitalise the outdoor areas in order to create a more dynamic and diverse district accessible to everyone. An important goal of the project was to clear, activate and create diversity. The architect firm chose Bloc from Vestre in order to realise this vision. In order to cater for the different needs of the project, the Bloc range was supplemented with sunbenches, twin benches and planters. The furniture is being used at Stranden, by the marina and in the side streets of Grundingen, Bryggegata and Holmens Gate.
