IKK Group

IKK Engineering GmbH is one of the leading offices for consulting, planning and construction management in structural and civil engineering in Austria. Together with the other companies of the IKK Group, IKK Engineering moved into a new company location in Graz. When construction experts build their own new location, it is always particularly interesting to see which products are used. For the flooring, the choice fell on Kugelgarn® modules from Fabromont.

The reception of the four-storey building is located in a high atrium, which is given a special atmosphere by the creative installation of different coloured Kugelgarn® modules. The square modules were laid in a random chequerboard pattern, thus shaping the large, bright space. The angular pattern is contrasted with round furnishing elements such as a curved bench, large round pendant lights or even curved glass walls.

The premises of the individual companies of the IKK Group are divided from the first to the fourth floor. Communication zones along the corridors allow an impressive view of the atrium and the patterned floor, which becomes an eye-catcher. The new offices are very bright thanks to the windows that reach down to the floor. There, too, the floors are designed with jumbled, different-coloured Kugelgarn® modules. The workplaces are equipped with modern IT infrastructure and new furniture that allows for customisation. Kugelgarn® offers maximum flexibility in this respect, as it can easily withstand the stresses and strains of, for example, furniture being moved around, and individual modules can be easily picked up and replaced if necessary. The modules have been installed on both raised floors and screeds and have a seamless appearance.
