Benefting children
The Al Jalila Children‘s Specialty Hospital was founded by Rashid Al Maktoum as a gift to the Children of the United Arab Emirates. It was founded in honor of the birthday of his daughter Al Jalila, after whom this Children‘s Hospital is named. The hospital is located in Dubai and has 200 beds. It has a department of pediatrics, a trauma center, a heart center, a transplant department, several surgical and outpatient departments as well as cancer treatment and dialysis areas. The Al Jalila Children‘s Specialty Hospital was designed as „smart hospital“ with state-of-theart technology and sophisticated design. This creates a positive and fun setting for both children and their families. The crucial area of research and teaching is not neglected either. The hospital also boasts an auditorium with space for 375 people as well as a number of teaching and training areas. The hospital was designed by the Italian architectural firm Altieri International.

Conference solutions
Optimal cure rates require bundling multiple specialists and seamless communication between them. Constant seminars, training and continuing education are needed to do justice to the hospital‘s high quality standard. For this reason, the people relief on highly exible conference and meeting furniture. They wanted to have meeting situation which were freely configurable - and quickly and easily. In addition the smart tables needed to be integrated into the in-house IT system based on the latest technologies. Standing. Sitting. Moving.
For the management room, we decided on standing and sitting work stations with chromed frame and glass veneering from the C+P Workflow series. Thanks to this two-surface principle, a healthy amount of movement is no longer just theory - it can actually be put into practice. This makes the „worklift“ that is adjustable to standing height an ideal place for brief meetings while standing - right at the work station. These tables are also individually equipped with modern technology, e.g. including wireless charging modules with the internationally established Qi standard.

Solutions for team work stations
The team offices were equipped with work stations from the Cegano series (with C foot) or the Asisto series (with 4 foot frame). The pedestals and office cabinets are from the Asisto series as well. The SonicWall Soft partitions in these offices serve as acoustically effective work station partitions. Either as sound barriers and acoustic damping, e.g. for the call center work stations, or merely acoustic damping and absorption in the team offices. Here too, exibility has top priority. The work station partitions must be reconfigurable with ease in order to quickly respond to changing requirements. Every fabric covering bears the lettering of the Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital.
