Concepto
Up-chair is a technical, fresh and innovative product with organic shapes. The shell in integral polyurethane called “medium soft touch” is available in 12 fresh colours. The legs are available in steel lacquered, mat or polished chrome finish, in wood or lacquered die cast aluminium. The column version is available in polished crome, white or black lacquered steel. A more sophisticated version is the Up-chair leather. Available with different bases in steel and wood.

UP Wood
Up-chair, the bestseller created in 2012 has now a new version. The shell in the technical soft touch material is enriched with solid wood armrests in American walnut. An innovative material and the craftsmanship in the wood manufacturing have created an authentic masterpiece.

Martin Ballendat

Martin Ballendat has enjoyed international success as a designer for decades. Born in Bochum, Germany, in 1958, he completed his studies in design at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. With his studio, Design Ballendat, he works for numerous prestigious brands. After three years of employment with office furniture manufacturer Sedus, he took over as head of design and product development at Wiesner Hager in Austria. He opened his own studio in Upper Austria in 1995, which was soon to be followed by a second one in Germany. Martin Ballendat has been awarded over 100 design prizes and awards. He has been working as a lecturer and guest professor at design schools for more than 15 years.
