Entirely made from recycled aluminium, Extró is the world’s largest extruded radiator. In the S version, available in both fixed and opening version with the latest evolution of the opening system patented by Ridea, offers a very large radiating surface.
The peculiar rounded shape of the Extró surface is enhanced, in E version, by horizontal cuts towel-rails; what was born to be a function, lives in this radiator as an aesthetic imperative.

The damask pattern reinterpreted with a contemporary flair that extends over its entire surface is its key feature. With or without slits for hanging towels, either in the fixed version or fitted with the Ridea patented opening system. The radiator may be installed vertically or horizontally. It is entirely made from recycled aluminium.
Aluminium is a material that can be recycled an infinite number of times, without impairing its quality. 50% of the aluminium used in Europe is recycled. Our industrial group salvages around 100,000 tons of aluminium each year; the verticalization of our aluminium production cycle enables us to have full control over the quality of the raw material. The use of recycled aluminium to make our radiators achieves 95% energy savings: the processing of 1 ton of recycled aluminium only requires 700 kW in lieu of the 14,000 kW necessary for aluminium extracted from bauxite, resulting in an appreciable reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and mining activities. Each ton of recycled aluminium makes it possible to reduce equivalent CO2 emissions by 2 tons, an amount that corresponds to the beneficial action of three trees (0.7 tons CO2/tree). A tree with an average lifespan of 30 years is able to convert about 700 kg of CO2. The low thermal inertia of this material enables the desired temperature to be reached much faster than with systems using radiators made from steel or cast-iron or using radiant floor panels. Moreover, high thermal conductivity is one of the distinctive properties of aluminium (four times higher than that of steel): this accounts for its superior capacity to transfer heat to the environment. Construction costs for a system with aluminium radiators are around 50% lower than for a system with radiant panels. Compared with radiant panel systems, energy savings range from 10% to 30%, which translates into appreciable cost savings. The possibility of adjusting the flow in each individual radiator, and hence in each room, makes for greater comfort and reduced consumption.
