This latest development by Steuler-Fliesen is so exceptional it could be seen as a work of art. And that‘s not all: „LAPS is perfect as a background or frame for anything that one would like to put on show“, the Director of Development, Paul Wieser, explains, „it can either be a flat screen TV, a painting, a sculpture or an elegant piece of furniture.“

In short, LAPS can be used anywhere to create decorative surfaces – in the bathroom and in the living area. Tiles are particularly suitable as background for stoves and fireplaces. LAPS is fixed or laid in a particular manner: the tiles are overlapped to create a flat uninterrupted surface – there are no visible joints.

Another distinctive feature set LAPS apart – the tiles are virtually handmade. Indeed the press works mechanically but is manually operated for each single tile which is then removed from the press by hand. The edges are cleaned by hand and each single tile is quality checked and individually packed, as is fitting for a true masterpiece.
