The chairs with armrests from the August collection of Vincent Van Duysen for Serax are stripped down to the essence, but with contemporary proportions.
The slightly wider seat and backrest ensure optimum comfort, which is enhanced by the armrests.
The black or grey-green powder-coated aluminium is weatherproof, allowing the chairs to be used both indoors and outdoors. 59x60, h79
Concepto
With a vision that results from an unbridled curiosity, Vincent Van Duysen always creates an all-inclusive atmosphere in which he seamlessly interweaves architecture, interior design, and design objects.
A vision to which he also stayed true when he was commissioned to convert the monastery of the former military hospital in Antwerp into a hotel.
For the terrace he designed the Outdoor collection, a series of minimalist chairs that effortlessly link the history of the environment to a modern interpretation.
The Outdoor collection by Vincent Van Duysen for Serax is made of aluminium and it is available with a black or grey-green powder coating.
This makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, The chairs, lounge chair, and table articulate the sheer simplicity of the monastic life they were inspired by.
The wider, slightly lower proportions are of this day and age and contribute modern-day comfort.
