As we started to design the “die-cast aluminum component” to join frames together, we immediately realized that his shape looked like a Hammer.
A detail that for its originality and appealing is able to characterize the entire collection which includes three different sizes and types: chair, armchair and lounge chair.
The comfort is obviously common to all three pieces, while the dimensions and nishes highlight the different destinations of use. Hammer can be integrated in any environment, from residential to the most classic of the contract: hotels and of ces.
It can be matched to a dining table or a meeting table and be a comfortable chair for a hotel room, as a waiting area, a living area of a hotel or to be a cosy lounge, star in a lobby of a multi-starred hotel.
In each of these situations Hammer presents itself in its clean lines, elegant almost inviting the user to sit down and try its comfort.
Hammer collection, winner in 2018 of the
Red Dot Product Design Award and in
2017 of the Good Design Award of the
Chicago Athenaeum, is enriched with two
new versions featuring practical swivel
bases that increase its value and versatility.
The collection is perfect for any environment- from contract to home, from hotel room to meeting room – it stands out for its design elegance and refined, clean lines. Like the rest of the collection, the new versions are available in a wide range of finishes and materials.

The technical competencies gleaned over decades and the ever-present passion for experimentation have enabled the practice to work successfully and with versatility in different manufacturing sectors, from telephones to furnishings (seating, lighting, upholstered ) to medical and household objects. In particular ‘Favaretto & Partners’ has specialized in the planning, prototyping and production of office furniture, technical seating (task and executive) and collective systems, introducing, in certain cases, design languages embraced by other designers and manufacturers. ‘Favaretto & Partners’ actively supports and adheres to the principles of “Design for All”, a declaration accepted by the European Commission and promoted by the I.I.D.D.
