Our handknotted VOLARI rugs are known for their soft, slightly thicker, warm and durable pile, as well as their rich colours. The "Ghazni" wool used comes from the high plateaus of Afghanistan at over 2200 metres, where the herds graze. The wool from this region is generally very long-stapled, less crimpy, rich in lanolin and very thick. Its high resilience ensures that the carpet pile remains intact even after intensive use. The designation Ghazni wool is tantamount to a seal of quality. In stock we have the standart sizes: 300 x 250cm, 300 x 200cm, 240 x 170cm. Desired dimensions can be made individually with a delivery time of 6 months.
