Giravolta is a wireless lighting distinguished by a contemporary design and suitable for outdoor environments. Two discs in plastic material, the base and the LED diffuser which rotates 360 degrees and directs the light, are surrounded by an arc made in extruded aluminium to create a practical handle. The luminaire incorporates the LED board, the lithium battery, the micro USB device for recharge and the power button. A cast-iron ballast into the base allows to fix the lamp to the ground, guaranteeing its own stability. Height 1300 mm.
Concepto
Inspired by lanterns of times past, it is a wireless lighting distinguished by a contemporary design and suitable for outdoor environments. The name reflects its essence: the swiveling diffuser and the rechargeable feature recalls the great inventor Alessandro Volta and his main discovery, the battery.
The main elements of the lighting are two discs in plastic material, the base and the LED diffuser which rotates 360 degrees and direct the light. An arc made in extruded aluminium painted in matching colours surrounds the two discs to create a practical handle
The luminaire incorporates the LED board, the lithium battery, the micro USB device for recharge and the power button. A magnet in the base as optional allows the fixing of the lighting on metal surfaces, even wall.
Available in three heights: 330mm, 500mm and 1300mm.
Materials: injection moulded plastic material discs; white polycarbonate diffuser; extruded aluminium arc.
Colours: white, black, beige, yellow, orange, sage green.

Alberto Basaglia and Natalia Rota Nodari. He was born in Varese in 1969, she was born in Bergamo in 1970. They meet when they are still students at the University of Architecture Politecnico in Milan, where they get their degrees with praise in 1995. In 1997, when they are 27, they set up their associated study of architects. Their professional activity widens to all fields of planning, from the object to the town: residential and industrial architecture, restoring, environmental planning, interior design, design and graphic design. The working method studies all aspects in depth: from the conception, to the production, to the communication. No detail is at random. For YDF they have built up the brand, designed the products, run and coordinated the image. And for it they won the first prize of the contest Young & Design.
