THE PAIR side table collection consists of three variations of two tables with one overlapping the other. The overlap creates a storage on the base table, but if desired the base table can also be placed besides the higher table providing an additional surface.
Each of the pairs differentiates in heights and diameters to the other versions, appealing to different settings and uses. The high gloss finish adds an extravagant feel to the table collection, making them both smooth to touch while also intensifying the colour.

METAL FRAME: High gloss powder coated
TABLE TOP AND BOTTOM: High gloss MDF.
Measurement: 450x450
Concepto
The Pair side tables collection consists of three different variations of a pair of tables, with one table overlapping the other to create a contrast of solid materials and surfaces. The lower base table is uniquely crafted in glazed ceramic, while the higher table is made of matt powder-coated steel and stands light on its three feet. The base table can be placed either beside the higher table, providing an additional surface, or underneath to create storage in between. Each ceramic piece is uniquely handcrafted and the glazing- which creates a glossy irregular surface- guarantees a limitless combination of textures and surfaces with an appealing graphical effect.

David Thulstrup is an architect and designer with a refined yet diverse approach to interiors and architecture intertwining classic aesthetics with a modern design language. He is the founder and creative director of Studio David Thulstrup in Copenhagen. Since setting up the studio ten years ago, he has completed an extensive portfolio of local and international projects, ranging from new residential architecture to restaurant, retail, hotel and furniture design. David won international acclaim and multiple awards for the interiors of the two Michelin-starred Noma restaurant in Copenhagen. Completed in 2018, it was lauded for its high level of complexity and unity of layered spaces, refined use of raw materials, craft and comfort, and for its embodiment of stedsans, a Danish expression for a sense of place. At the heart of David’s practice is a belief in the beauty of diverse materials. He is renowned for using materials honestly and in unexpected combinations to create spaces of striking simplicity and character. Treating all projects holistically, David approaches each new project with curiosity about the client’s needs, about the project itself, and about the potential for using new materials and techniques. Describing his style as ‘modern simplicity’ – he rethinks and reworks elements such as light, color, form and material to create pared-back and often bold design solutions for sometimes-complex requirements. Working with him in the studio is an internationally diverse team of architects, interior designers, product designers, lighting specialist, 3D visualizer and material experts. The studio is based in a naturally lit space in an industrial building in east Amager. Before setting up his own practice, David worked on residential, commercial and institutional projects for Jean Nouvel in Paris from 2003-2006, and on luxury retail store projects for Peter Marino in New York in 2007-2008.
