Plain Weave Handspun

The Tribal Weaver Collection takes its inspiration from early kilim weaving methods of nomadic people. The work kilim simply means a flat-woven rug, or a rug without a knotted pile. For the tribal weavers, connections with their natural environment, with their animals, and with their family groups are very strong and deeply rooted, and you'll see interpretations of these links in their craft. Plain Weave and the three Tribal Weaver patterns, Ancient Spiral, Kilim Motif, and Tibetan Forest, apply this concept of weaving with nature.
