Featuring a curved backrest and elegant rounded frame in metal, About A Stool AAS 38 offers a more industrial expression, while sharing the same versatile profile as the other designs in the collection. The post-consumer recycled plastic seat is offered in a wide palette of contemporary colours and multiple front upholstery options, with the sled base available in two heights in different steel finishes. The series’ simple yet strong visual presence makes it ideal as a bar stool in a variety of corporate, public, and private contexts.

Concepto

The About A Stool collection is the result of a continued collaboration between HAY and designer Hee Welling. The goal was to create a connected family of bar stools based around one simple, strong idea, which still retained the individual qualities of each model. By making the legs, shells and upholstery options interchangeable, the About A Stool series provides a wealth of design possibilities as well as retaining the elemental form. The series includes variants of stools in two different heights with wood or metal frames in a wide range of finishes, colours and upholstery options.
