Freifrau Manufaktur x Maryam Keyhani
The cushion designed by artist Maryam Keyhani, named after the Persian female name "Giti" (meaning "world" or "universe"), is a true master, or rather mistress, of disguise. At first glance—and perhaps even at second—it resembles an elegant sun hat. However, it’s not something you can actually wear on your head. Filled with foam sticks and beaded cotton, the cushion is very soft yet stable, making it ideal for leaning on or as a back support. Moreover, it’s a real eye-catcher in any living room.
For the covers, Maryam Keyhani has selected optional materials, including a strawberry red or dark petrol-colored virgin wool fabric, as well as a more subdued beige fabric that is equally appealing to the touch, made from recycled wool and recycled polyamide. The hatband is crafted from the same material and in the same color. The Giti cushions measure 50 cm in diameter and are 17 cm high.

With their hat-like form, the very special cushions and pouffes of the Freifrau Manufaktur x Maryam Keyhani Collection are an invitation to look, laugh- and stay. At the same time, they ask a question: is that a hat or a seat? A comfy cushion or an objet d‘art? With two variants, Giti and Roya, each available in three colours selected by Maryam Keyhani, and the pouf Ziba, also available in three colours as well as in black and white, the collection contains ten different Items in total, each with a limited production run of 20.
