Mikkel Vandborg was born in Struer, a small port town on the west coast of Denmark. He acquired both his practical approach and his appreciation for quality and materiality from his training as a carpenter. This also laid the foundation stone for the opening of his own design studio ‚Design by Dane‘ in 2015. Since then, as an autodidact Mikkel Vandborg has been designing furniture and accessories and presenting them at exhibitions and trade fairs throughout Europe. With his products, he has always pursued the goal of creating design in a simple, functional form with an unmistakable contemporary touch.
