In Herbstblatt (autumn leaf), the gaze oscillates between the geometric forms and the figurative leaves in the pattern. Ingeniously, the design, created around 1906 by Josef Hoffmann, sets our eyes and perception in motion. The light clarity and lovely playfulness in this reinterpreted design come into their own in the reduced colour scheme of the Wiener Sehnsucht collection and with its new finish.
