Sengu Bold, an incisive character that places its accent on comfort
A bold font is a distinct type face that accentuates something noteworthy, highlighting the subject to emphasize its importance. Sengu Bold, Patricia Urquiola’s new interpretation of her latest Sengu Sofa system, is a ‘bold’ re-writing of the existing sofa where the original base disappears and its abundant curves reach all the way down to the floor.
Highlighted comfort
Sengu Bold speaks the language of comfort: its soft cushions placed on the backrest are padded with recycled PET fibre developed thanks to the work carried out by Cassina LAB. The shape of the sofa is fuller, more conspicuous with its generous forms, while the original proportions have been emphasised, making the padding even more apparent.
Even the dedicated upholstery fabrics have been conceived in ‘bold’: their texture is magnified, as if to further emphasize the soft lines of the padding.
Numerous arrangements call for relaxation
Sengu Bold is a casual sofa that encourages socializing thanks to its open forms that invite one to take a seat. Comprising a wide range of modules, complemented by the addition of a small table with a square base, this versatile system makes it easy to create dynamic arrangements or to use each element individually.
To complete the system, the Sengu coffee tables, introduced in the collection last year, have been extended with a round version that maintains the same architectural structure made of wooden beams and glass or marble top.
