phalt Architekten

Profile

phalt is a Swiss architectural office based in Zurich and was founded in 2006 by Cornelia Mattiello-Schwaller, Frank Schneider and Mike Mattiello. Since then, the office has consistently pursued the goal of creating sophisticated environments and ambiences. All the projects are informed by a sensitive approach to place and the intensive involvement with the task. The studio is currently made up of a team of seventeen young professionals and is involved in a wide range of projects in Switzerland. Ongoing projects are, among others, the new building for the child and adolescent psychiatry Baselland in Liestal, the refurbishment and extension of the restaurant „Alter Tobelhof“ in Zurich, the new ice rink and the refurbishment of the swimming-area Bünzmatt in Wohlen, the refurbishment and the extension of the housing development Obermaihof in Luzern and apartment buildings in the region of Zurich and Solothurn.
