Design studio Mokko was created by Aad Bos in 2017. The studio's expressive minimalist objects are defined by geometric form and designed as small scale monumental pieces of architecture.
With respect for traditional craftsmanship and nature, all products are made by carpenters and manufacturers in the Netherlands out of sustainable materials. Every object is made with the vision to be passed down through generations and one day revive through vintage shops.
Mokkō means ‘woodcraft’ in Japanese. The studio was founded after Aad visited Japan where his desire to create was accelerated. Although the studio and its objects evolved beyond woodworking only, the Japanese culture of craftsmanship, aesthetics and quality remains a source of inspiration today.
