Trading since 1920, Barlow Tyrie remains a family business and is now in its third generation with Peter Tyrie and Peter's sons, James and Mark, working in management and product design. We specialise in the manufacture of teak furniture, to which we have added stainless steel, powder-coated aluminium, Eucalyptus, and hand-woven synthetic fibre. These ranges have proved incredibly successful and feature strongly in the current Barlow Tyrie collection; however expert use of high-grade teak remains at the heart of the business and with demand for quality teak furniture on the rise, its use can be seen in several new Barlow Tyrie ranges. Over many years we have expanded our choice of contemporary and traditional designs for outdoor living. As the world's oldest manufacturer of quality teak leisure furniture, our teak wood is first grade plantation grown teak (Tectona Grandis) sourced from Indonesia using responsible forestry practices. Barlow Tyrie has diversified in recent years developing collections in a variety of materials, combined to give a timeless appearance. Our collections have been built using quality materials and refined traditional construction methods. It's reassuring to know that our designer and craftsmen are creating 'true-classics' in the making, with style and comfort to match our Barlow Tyrie ethos. Our furniture benefits from the manufacturing knowledge and experience we have, so you can be confident that our products are constructed to the highest standard. We only use the finest materials available, which are tested and approved to the appropriate British Standards for strength and safety, you can be sure that they are made to last.
