In 2006, Colombian-born Ana María Calderón Kayser established ames, located in Germany’s Eifel region. The company’s mission is to develop furniture and home accessories that speak to the hearts and minds of people who value cosmopolitan lifestyles. The blend of different cultural influences results in designs for modern and unconventional, multi-functional and versatile interior concepts. Each of ames’ product families includes many different design variations, thus allowing customised interior solutions. The different materials and material combinations, as well as a large range of colours, upholstery textiles and frames support an almost limitless variety of designs for both the home and the contract sector. ames places the greatest importance on resource-friendly production, using sustainable and natural materials. All products are manufactured according to German or, respectively, Colombian craft traditions.
