It all started with an idea that was revolutionary at the time. In 1971, we began repurposing products from the industrial and working world for home and everyday use. These two worlds had previously had nothing to do with each other, and suddenly it became natural to surround oneself with steel storage shelves and glasses from the catering industry in one’s own home. That wasn’t easy, because markets lacked transparency, sources were often hidden, and research felt like detective work. Today, we see our task as navigating the seemingly endless range of products. We take a close look, pre-select, and provide you with a clear and reliable selection – like using a fishing rod instead of a trawl net. We present you with products of high utility value, of the best quality, finely crafted, made from proven or innovative materials. We prefer working with people whose values we understand through their product manufacturing. We steer clear of short-lived trends, because the things we find off the beaten retail path should accompany their users for many years. Many items are available exclusively at MAGAZIN, and a large number of products are developed and manufactured in collaboration with designers and producers – you can recognize them by the “M.” In our stores, you are right in the middle of the action, immersed in the world of MAGAZIN products.
