Clerkenwell Design Week came back bigger than ever in 2022. With more showrooms, exhibitions and installations, festival visitors found out what the industry’s been up to while they’ve been away.

Synonymous with sustainability, the floor manufacturer INTERFACE has established its new German headquarters and showroom according to the principles of Biophilic Design.

Die Gestaltung von Arbeitsumgebungen wird zunehmend beeinflusst von der instinktiven menschlichen Liebe zur Natur, die wissenschaftlich als Biophilie bezeichnet wird. Die Natur soll mit Hilfe von Tageslicht, Grünpflanzen oder natürlich anmutenden Böden in den Innenraum geholt werden. Mitarbeiter in Büros, die diese Elemente integrieren, fühlen sich nachweislich wohler und arbeiten produktiver. Human Nature, die neue Kollektion von Interface, beruht auf der Biophilie und ist inspiriert davon, wie die Natur Böden gestaltet.

La nueva colección modular de Interface evoca las olas de los océanos. Interface ha trabajado exclusivamente con el mundialmente conocido diseñador David Oakey. Rompiendo conscientemente los límites de diseños anteriores y alcanzando un nuevo nivel de sostenibilidad social y ambiental, hace que esta colección sea particularmente especial. Algo más: el 100% de la fibra que contiene Net Effect es reciclada - derivada parcialmente de redes de pesca desechadas. De este modo, se unifica la sostenibilidad y la belleza de una forma única. Se vincula con Net-Works, el proyecto de sostenibilidad más reciente: recoger las redes de pesca de Filipinas e integrarlas en la producción de losetas de moqueta.
