The innovation initiative from OWA focuses on enhanced ease of installation, the very latest in visual interior design enabled by seamless functional ceiling systems, and room acoustics that can be perfectly tailored to individual requirements. The Odenwald Faserplattenwerk GmbH from Amorbach presents innovative new ceiling solutions under the motto "mix & match".
Numerous prizes recently awarded to OWA are testament to the innovative power of the brand. Products from the OWAconsult collection have recently won the BAKA Award 2019, China Good Design Award 2018, bdia ausgesucht! 2018, ICONIC AWARDS 2018, Red Dot: Best of the Best (2018), iF DESIGN AWARDS 2018, German Design Award 2018 as well as the MIAW Award. The OWAconsult collection is consequently undergoing continuous development.
Innovations include the OWAplan and RAW product lines, as well as new lighting elements for the modular Corpus system. These and other innovations were presented to the trade public for the first time at BAU 2019 in Munich. But let's take things one at a time:

Seamless joy

Ceilings that seem to go on forever, are seamless, finely plastered and with excellent acoustics – a dream come true for architects and fabricators? Not at all! The seamless ceiling system OWAplan from the OWAconsult collection has undergone a complete overhaul. Fleece lamination at the factory makes processing on site even easier.

Both new variants, OWAplan 70 and OWAplan 90, can be further processed using the plaster systems OWAplan S (fine) and XS (ultra-fine). Tiles and plaster can be combined with each other as required.
Together with the OWAplan XS acoustic plaster coating, the airless process used for the first time for such systems enables a particularly fine surface finish. OWAplan blends harmoniously into any architectural style while guaranteeing pleasant acoustics and an enhanced sense of wellbeing.
The numbers 70 and 90 in the product names stand for the sound absorption coefficients NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient), 0.70 and 0.90 respectively. With an NRC value of 0.90, OWAplan 90 is in the top class of acoustic ceiling systems, the so-called A-absorbers.

New and absolutely "RAW"

The industrial style is currently experiencing a true boom in interior design. Next to unrendered walls, stylish accessories and industrial lighting, an unplastered ceiling that is as exposed as possible also belongs to the industrial design concept.

The industrial style is currently experiencing a true boom in interior design. Next to unrendered walls, stylish accessories and industrial lighting, an unplastered ceiling that is as exposed as possible also belongs to the industrial design concept.
Exposed concrete ceilings undoubtedly have their charm but bare hard walls, floors and ceilings can lead to adverse room acoustics. If you still want a cool industrial look and good acoustics, you can choose from three different RAW surface variants: structure, grey and clay – all with a natural material look.

Acoustic symphony

In the OWAlifetime collection, OWA has expanded its symphony of fleece-laminated mineral ceilings by four new Sinfonia products. They have the sonorous names Silencia, Balance, Privacy and Reflecta.

On the subject of sound, our product line offers a choice of six different acoustic levels to enable precise acoustics design coupled with a uniform surface look. Depending on requirements and space, the acoustics can therefore be subtly adapted without any perceptible differences in look. Just about any acoustic requirement can be fulfilled: ranging from outstanding sound reflection and an intelligent combination of high absorption and sound reduction, through to 100% absorption to give a freedom to spaces.
In addition to a modular room acoustics layout, the Sinfonia product line also offers huge scope for design. 213 RAL colours enable a blend of optimised acoustic architecture with individualised interior design. The tiles are also available as hygienically equipped (colour variations and hygiene equipment not possible for Sinfonia Reflecta).
