Despite all the design and industrial processes that go into making Musola’s furniture suitable for outdoor use, it also perfectly fits into any indoor environment, thanks to the style team working together with designers to provide all products with characteristics that make them suitable for indoor spaces too. Take the Yonoh Studio-designed Canasta, for example, and its cushion covered with a vibrant fabric; it makes a perfect dining chair and no one would ever think that it was initially made for outdoor use.

To attain this level of versatility, Musola likes to establish long term collaborations with local designers who have international experience – the likes of Santiago Sevillano, Javier Herrero or Yonoh Studio. Being established in the area, these designers can utilise the best of Musola’s industrial facilities to create high-quality products with a Mediterranean twist – the real-DNA of the company.

Thanks to their versatility, Musolas collections are popular with designers and specifiers specialising in hospitality spaces

For Valencia-based Santiago Sevillano who works with Musola on a regular basis, lightness is the key to achieving versatility. It helps users easily move the furniture back and forth between outside and inside spaces. But cosiness is also a priority. ‘Ever since my very first collaboration on the Nansa collection, I have wanted to develop essential, simple but ultimately, comfortable furniture,’ he says.

Premium materials are another key element that make Musola ranges perfectly suitable for high-end interior and exterior environments. In the end, Musola’s mix of essentiality and joy is what makes Spanish design so endearing – indoors and outdoors alike.
