There has been an unmistakably clear trend towards individualisation in the interior design of hotels and restaurants over the last few years; an approach more recognisable perhaps from private entertaining – of wishing to surprise and delight guests by creating a special atmosphere for them – is now being applied equally in up-market restaurants and hotels.

DRAENERT Manufaktur, which is based in Immenstaad on Lake Constance, is well-established in the contracting sector. The exclusivity of its furniture is much admired, and many of its pieces can be customised to customers‘ specifications in order to perfectly fit into a particular space – whether lounge, dining room, bar or CEO’s office.

DRAENERT furniture can be found in locations all over the world: in a number of German embassies, in an Amsterdam bistro, offices in New York, hotels in the Czech Republic, a conference room in Motel One’s Munich headquarters and the bar of the Motel One in Bad Cannstatt near Stuttgart, to name just a few examples.

We also eat with the eyes: The Lake Constance-based manufacturer has also been long-involved in the contract business sector, with International architects and interior designers of hotels and restaurants appreciating the exclusivity of DRAENERT furniture

In Bad Cannstatt, a bar countertop, no less than nine metres long and made of black-and-white marbled Grigio Carnico stone, was installed with matching Nobile bar stools and a Largo lounge table from the DRAENERT range. The latter was made to the customer‘s specifications using a bespoke combination of materials.

As you can see, even such special things can be made even more exceptional. Material colouring can be precisely matched to a particular interior design palette, so the overall room design for a hotel lounge or a restaurant can achieve a harmonious and coherent feel.

Without doubt, the secret ingredient here is dialogue. In DRAENERT, architects and interior designers find a partner that makes all kinds of things possible. While set up as a manufactory, DRAENERT is also there to advise and is always open to design ideas that may seem out of the ordinary – which is where things really start to become interesting.
