‘Body care has moved into the realm of enjoyment and with it, the bathroom as a space for it to happen. It has become a place for the senses, for relaxation. A place where we desire to spend time’, says Christian Werner, who, with his new Brioso collection for Duravit, delivers optimal design for bathroom spaces where long stays are about pure pleasure.

Werner places the needs of people front and centre with his designs, so naturally, comfort comes as a given in the bathroom creations of the award-winning designer. This focus on people is also why Brioso offers a wide range of individual, refreshing and modern bathroom design options.

One of the first things to catch the eye is the furniture’s finely nuanced lines, made possible by its narrow side panels. The series lends the bathroom both elegance and lightness, even if only individual pieces are used. Brioso may not necessarily push itself into the foreground, but is still ever-present – even alongside more outgoing design series’ from Duravit such as Vero Air, ME by Starck or Starck 3.

Like Brioso’s surface finishes – which come in a total of 14 design options, from classic wood to more on-trend alternatives like light blue or concrete grey matt – handles and feet can also be supplied in matching colours or, as a contrast, in chrome. For those who prefer to forego feet, wall-mounted versions of the cupboards and consoles are also available.

Perfect partners: the Brioso vanity units form an attractive unit with Duravit washbasins from series such as Me by Starck, Starck 3 or Vero Air. The tall cabinets have practical storage space just like their shorter cousins

Brioso, a team player so to speak, joins a long list of Duravit universal consoles that can fit a variety of roles in different bathroom spaces. The ‘mix and match’ approach means a range of different depths and widths are available for the consoles as well as for the base units and vanity units, and, with Vero Air, it also connects seamlessly as a c-bonded version. As Christian Werner says, the bathroom is a place for wellness and enjoyment. Brioso helps make it happen.
