Design professionals are demanding souls – and rightly so, as they want the best for their clients. Installing any technology into the built environment can be a challenge, so the more convenient and practical a product, the better.

What makes a built-in speaker easy to handle for installers? DALI, having thought about this for over 35 years has come up with a simple solution. After installers have made cut-outs for in-wall or ceiling mounting, or have fixed mounting frames to walls, they simply insert the CI Hi-Fi speakers and fasten them with classic doglegs. This makes them so secure that it prevents rattle sounds from being produced due to vibrations when the speakers are being used – a problem that some competitors suffer from, and which can result in expensive and time-consuming service callouts.

Designers with international reach expect the same from their suppliers. DALI has a global presence, meaning it can offer local support in more than 70 markets, giving designers the confidence of knowing there are consultants close by.

No manufacturer these days can avoid thinking about the consequences of its commercial activities on the planet, and those with a sense of responsibility towards it are increasingly creating products with environmental sustainability in mind. Where possible, DALI’s CI loudspeakers are produced using natural materials, including, for example, wood and paper for their fibre cones. And, as they typically last for up to 20 years in a residential setting, these speakers don’t have to be replaced as often as some similar products – another benefit to the end-user.

In sustainability terms, it’s not just about how a product is made, but how many are made. DALI’s wide dispersion technology means fewer speakers covering a bigger area. That also means a reduction in installation time, which in turn cuts down on the amount of wiring required, and hence a subsequent reduction in project costs.

In the exacting world of interior design, the demands of performance, aesthetics and convenience must all combine – and in the case of DALI, this is exactly what they do.
