The interiors of luxury yachts offer an experience akin to living in a floating villa, providing all the comforts of home so their owners can truly relax as they cruise around the world’s most spectacular coastlines. Living spaces on boats have certain functional requirements that set them apart from conventional interiors, yet it is still possible to furnish them to the same standard as the high-end houses their owners occupy back on dry land.

Italian brand Cassina has a long heritage of providing furniture for exceptional homes, but what’s less well known is its history as a supplier of premium naval furnishings. In the 1950s, the Meda-based company partnered with leading architects including Gio Ponti and Nino Zoncada to deliver the interior decor for several luxury cruise liners. Cassina’s new Yachting Tales look book celebrates this aspect of its business, illustrating how its iconic products could be used to elevate the interiors of contemporary yachts.

Yachting Tales imagines Cassina’s products furnishing a wide range of onboard environments, ranging from the living and dining areas to the sundeck and the cabins. The look book includes all the furniture required to complete these comfortable and versatile spaces, along with a wide range of accessories including complementary pieces, tableware, lighting and decorative objects.
