×The modest origins of BoConcept – the furniture company founded in 1947 by young cabinetmakers Jens Ærthøj and Tage Mølholm, in the sleepy Jutland town of Herning – belie its standing as a beacon of Danish design. By harnessing and refining the key tenets of heritage, simplicity, craftsmanship, functionality and quality over 70 years, the brand has become Denmark's most globally recognisable name in furniture. It’s a fact exemplified in timeless pieces such as its midcentury-style Imola armchair (inspired by the form of a deconstructed tennis ball) and the marshmallow minimalism of its Bellagio sofa – not to mention a proliferation of more than 300 stores in over 65 countries.
The Trade Program by BoConcept elevates collaboration and shared expertise to a whole new level
A shared vision
Of course, aesthetic influence and global ubiquity come with a kind of responsibility. The world of contemporary interior design revolves around the pillars of versatility, functionality and sustainability: holistic principles supported by collaboration and shared expertise across disciplines. Building on this foundation, BoConcept introduces its new Trade Program – a natural extension of its commitment to partnership and creativity.
BoConcept’s immersive platform shares design expertise with designers, architects and decorators
This immersive platform sees the company share its rarefied skills in design and furniture manufacturing with a fertile community of designers, decorators, architects, spatial planners and more, by way of a variety of creative resources. By giving access to innovative tools and tailored solutions, the program positions BoConcept as a ‘trusted partner, offering insights and assistance to create extraordinary spaces’. Think of it as the experienced professionals fostering growth for the generation that follows.

×Entering the fold
The process is simple. New users join one of three tiers, each of which gains a slightly higher trade discount (20%, 25% and 30% +). As users progress through the tiers, they gain greater access to product and fabric collections, as well as expert in-house services. The Welcome Tier offers access to CAD files, sample orders, VIP event invitations, and in-house delivery and installation. The Influencer Tier adds a light sample box and early access to collection updates. Lastly, the Ambassador Tier provides, along with all previous benefits, a premium sample box, spatial planner design services, 3D visualisation and access to contract fabrics.
The program opens doors to more practical and tactile resources
The user tools and benefits are myriad. As well as essential (but more prosaic sounding) initiatives like financial kickbacks, sales training, thematically organised iPapers to download and templates for contract presentations (and more), the program also opens doors to more obviously practical and tactile resources.

×A technical trove
Take the database of 3D and 2D CAD furniture design files, for instance – access to which is helpful to architects and designers looking to enhance efficiency, accuracy and customisation in their interiors projects (which invariably leads to better customer satisfaction and business outcomes). Depending on your predilection, there’s a sprawling range of formats available – an advantage for those within the industry.
BoConcept’s world becomes your oyster
There are also abundant material samples, stylishly boxed and showcasing the brand’s go-to fabrics, leathers, veneers, lacquers and ceramics. For Trade Program users, two separate sets have been devised: the B2B Light box, which contains samples already available in BoConcept’s existing Retail box; and a B2B Premium box containing the swatches from the retail sample set, plus a host of extras (including dark marble and brown ceramics, smoke glass, polished aluminium and various other elegant finishes).
Physical material sample boxes offer designers the flexibility to curate distinct sets tailored to different projects and moods

×Loose samples and empty display boxes are also available for those looking to curate their own sets. Here, BoConcept’s world becomes your oyster: the opening of these databases is a neat conduit to more meaningful collaboration between the brand and the canny industry professionals that love it.
At its heart, BoConcept’s Trade Program and its trove of resources ‘enable designers to visualise and refine their concepts, ensuring every detail aligns seamlessly’, explains the brand. It’s an unprecedented and invaluable helping hand from a distinguished leader of contemporary Danish design – and a profoundly practical way of encouraging other creatives to harness the brand’s central credo of ‘living ekstraordinær’.
