But what is it about the design that won a 'Special Mention' at the German Innovation Award 2021, for the second time? One of its main benefits is its adaptability, which makes it possible to furnish entire office spaces with one single system. From team workstations and conference systems to mobile stacking tables – TALO.YOU allows people to operate flexibly and work to new rhythms which have arisen due to the evolution of modern office practices and landscapes.

The modular system is designed in such a way that various combination options can be offered. Architects and interior designers can, for example, choose between round and square variants on the basis of two design lines, as well as an attractive selection of foot options, and can easily move within them in terms of design. Modules such as tops and add-on options always remain the same. In order to offer as many functions as possible in a compact, space-efficient way, the stacking table, for example, can be turned around and used as a whiteboard or flipchart.

One frame, numerous possibilities

The reduction of the table system to one frame which offers all options both in terms of configuration and appearance is an essential part of the design strategy. The focus is on an appealing, reduced appearance that gives TALO.YOU a new look and feel again and again, without the table itself always having to be reinvented. The frame always remains the same, while the base and top can change. And König + Neurath also speaks to private users and home offices with this concept, as its success in five of seven categories at the PLUS X Award shows.

A closer look at the flexible TALO.YOU sit-stand workstation, which boasts motorised height-adjustability on all models, reveals further benefits in relation to its personalisation options. Thanks to its high degree of scalability, the system can be adapted to different body sizes and thus supports modern office dynamics. Users can also choose from a wide selection of table sizes, as well as a range of almost obligatory must-haves. These include a third level for improved room acoustics, a cable tray that can be folded on both sides, a practical cable management system for helping to keep things tidy. Additionally, a safe box can be attached to the right or left side of the table or be used as a mobile seat. And to ensure that private matters remain private, it is equipped with a removable cylinder or combination lock.

Sustainability is important to König + Neurath in the development of its products. This begins with the choice of materials – for the most part high-quality, recycled materials – whose use and processing meet the criteria of the 'Blue Angel' certificate. What it says on the front is actually what's found in the products: The materials used are sourced either from Germany or nearby European countries and processed locally.
