THE FANTINI HOME WELLNESS RITUAL
The innovative path of this “home wellness ritual” focused on extremely functional and efficient products that don’t cater to mechanical aspects and find their place in a world of virtual and emotional abstraction that opens to an exploration of new design possibilities.Fantini’s research on showers thus radically transforms the concept and characteristics of the shower: from a simple technical/functional product, it becomes a complex system of elements and diverse types of performance whose objective is to offer the user an experience of everyday pleasure and well-being.
The result of Fantini’s ongoing developments and the refinement of production know-how revolutionizes not only the product, but also the way we conceive showers, bathrooms, and their objects.
This profoundly innovative and far-sighted vision has accompanied the sociological transformation of the bathroom concept in Western countries and beyond. In the new millennium, what was classified as a “sanitary service” for the entire 20th century has in fact become one of the focal points of residential design. The home bathroom has come into its own.
The concept of the bathroom as the most private place in the home, a place for taking care of the body and for relaxation and well-being, quickly made its way into the collective imagination. Taking advantage of the extraordinary new market opportunity that arose, architects, designers and companies set out to design new elements for bathrooms, as well as innovative aesthetic, technological and functional solutions.
At the social level, in the early aughts the idea of wellness in body and mind began to spread. This self-focused concept defines our epoch, but it has very ancient roots in many cultures, from the Mediterranean to the Orient, North Africa to the countries of the far North, from which it emerges and draws inspiration for rituals of regeneration like rainfall showers, waterfall showers, saunas, and Turkish baths, along with synesthetic effects and multisensory colors, lights, and sounds.
Everyone agrees that water means health in every form, and the magic of water has always involved regeneration of the body. According to the concept of holism, this then reverberates out to provide beneficial effects on mind and spirit.

The pursuit of wellness through water thus becomes something of a commonly accepted magic formula. The three words of the Latin acronym SPA, Salus per aquam, promise to suspend the harsh course of time, to provide a way to exorcise stress. More and more people are fascinated by these rituals and draw real benefits from them.
Creating products that can be used in home wellness rituals thus became the guideline for many designs that Fantini developed from the early aughts to today.
Fantini’s home wellness ritual is built on a very precise basic concept: contact with water must be a happy experience, a return to a natural state, something that provides great comfort and pleasure.
The challenge was and is to translate the technological complexity of new products into pure forms that are extremely simple and elegant to behold and that provide the best way to access this sensory and emotional experience:
extremely functional, efficient, and high-performance products that always explore new design possibilities and allow anyone to experience daily wellness rituals in the privacy of their own home.

Multi-functional and multi-sensory showerheads have now entered the common lexicon: like Acqua Zone (design by Franco Sargiani), an advanced design that goes beyond the shower stall concept, radically transforming even the shape of objects.
And Acquatonica (design Franco Sargiani) in which the shower is intended as pure pleasure to be under water, with a natural effect, light, soft, like being in the rain.
And, even, like Acquafit (design by CRS Fantini), a true system that offers multiple variations: a rectangular, square or round version, with or without light, that can be installed on the ceiling or be built-in or semi-recessed, external or with a wall-mounted shower arm. Functions multiply: an especially high performance double rain shower is achieved through an innovative 170-nozzle anti-scale solution. The rectangular version also has a tonic water function with 25 nozzles.
The multi-sensory experience reaches its full potential in the Dream version, with a white RGB LED light; chromotherapy with 4-color RGB LED light and sequence of “Feel” colors with “Touch” control board.
The possibility of multiple color finishes also expands the variations and customization that the system offers.
AA/27 (design by Michael Anastassiades) from the Aboutwater Boffi-Fantini collection is a virtuous and sophisticated example of how essential the form of the design can be, while still offering high performance.
Essenza (design by Bertrand Lejoly) is the most recent design on the theme and ushers in a new chapter in the shower experience. With meticulous attention to detail, Acqua Essenza expresses both refinement and comfort, transforming the daily shower ritual into a thing of unparalleled sophistication. A perfectly worked border elegantly frames the Essenza showerhead, accentuating its visual appeal. The diffuse ambient lighting that emanates from the interior projects a peaceful light, offering an aura of tranquility.
Essenza is also a synonym for ease of use, harmonic movement that’s literally at your fingertips.
The refined simplicity and attention to all details are the essence of the design, which is achieved using innovative solutions and technical mastery.
