When we speak of dwelling today, there are as many interpretations as there are people. One thing, however, is valid for everyone: the analogue enjoyment of life, supported by digital capabilities. Busch-Jaeger focuses on linking these two priorities and creates tailor-made individual solutions with its great deal of technical know-how and experience.

Busch-Jaeger’s innovative smart-home system ABB-free@home speaks the languages of many network-capable devices – from the digital language assistant and the home sound system right through to Home Connect household appliances. In short, the resident is accompanied by the system’s amenities from the moment they wake up in the morning until going to bed at night – all made possible by the interoperability built into the home network. They get up to their desired music and lighting ambience, while the coffee maker is already heating up in the kitchen. When leaving the house, pressing a single button is all it takes to reliably turn off all devices. The status of the home appliances can be monitored, the blinds adjusted and networked tools accessed from on the go. This frees up more time for what’s essential in life, and also makes it virtually impossible to forget things.

Along with interoperability, which enables the integration of further market-leading devices, individualisation is also high on the priority list: customers can get exactly what they need while maintaining the interior design scheme. Another advantage to the ABB-free@home is that existing systems can be expanded at any time. With the wireless version, for example, the premises can be easily modernised without work on the masonry. Individual components from the product range can also be installed, such as the universal lens-equipped Busch presence detector or the jalousie compact timer with memory function.

Busch-Jaeger’s service also already includes the ability to select products and switch ranges from the ABB-free@home line and KNX via the 3D LiveView app. This makes it possible to visualise the ABB-Welcome door-communication system and the new ABB-tacteo operating element for building control prior to installation – a major advantage that, not least, architects and installers will value.
