Wilkhahn has made it its mission to counteract static sitting with innovative concepts and products. The new AT range, for example, also features the specially developed free-to-move mechanism. Thanks to its three-dimensional mobility, it encourages people to change positions more frequently instead of remaining in the same posture for long periods of time.
In the case of the AT, the self-centering suspension of its seat shell ensures that the body remains securely balanced in all postures and movements. Because the tilting backrest support is coupled with a mechanism for automatic weight adjustment, all you really need to do is sit down and adjust the desired seat height. Three scientific studies have confirmed the positive effects of ‘Trimension’ mobility developed by Wilkhahn on health and well-being: muscular tension is prevented, blood circulation is promoted and strain on the joints is reduced. A welcome and healthy change is also provided by an intermediate posture for working at a table: sitting in a raised position which comes very close to standing, that encourages the intuitive shifting of bodyweight.
