Hanging tough: when linoleum doors go next level
High architectural standards demand high-performance products. Arbonia's Premium Edge linoleum-doors collection answered the call.

The Swiss umbrella brand Arbonia offers a uniquely comprehensive portfolio of doors, including the newly launched linoleum doors
Whether ambitious architecture lives up to its own high standards is often revealed in the many small details of execution that a building presents. It becomes even more striking when, a few years after completion, one observes how both minor and major, desirable and less desirable signs of wear and tear emerge through use.
It is a balancing act for manufacturers and craftsmen to take this into account – even more so when using natural materials. Arbonia has risen to this challenge: The newly launched linoleum doors are predestined for architectural projects that pursue a cutting-edge approach while also striving to keep their ecological footprint to a minimum.

Drawing on decades of expertise, Arbonia’s linoleum doors have the Premium Edge, a durable and seamlessly constructed door edge
What exactly sets Arbonia’s linoleum doors apart? The Swiss brand draws on the decades of expertise from its individual brands and optimises where comparable products fall short: on the door edge. Arbonia calls this the Premium Edge, as it is designed to be particularly durable with a thickness of two millimetres and seamless construction. This protects the fragile material from damage and wear, significantly expanding its lifespan.
Climate-positive material, versatile applications
‘With the Premium Edge, linoleum doors even remain permanently beautiful for the first time in heavily used spaces,’ emphasises Claudius Moor, CEO of Arbonia AG. Moreover, they are inherently climate-friendly, easy to maintain and hygienic. This is because linoleum is well-known for being made from almost 100% natural raw materials such as wood flour, linseed oil, paper, as well as mineral fillers and tree resins.‘With the Premium Edge, linoleum doors even remain permanently beautiful for the first time in heavily used spaces’
In combination with the use of renewable energies, the production of the linoleum binds more carbon dioxide than it emits, making it ‘climate-positive’. The material is naturally antistatic and antibacterial. The matt, soft and warm surface of the linoleum door consistently makes a design statement.

This makes it ideal for use in laboratories and medical practices, daycare centres and schools, offices, care and senior living facilities, as well as hospitality and residential environments. And, because Arbonia relies on high-quality linoleum from Forbo, it can also be integrated with furniture and flooring upon request.
